TRU7 228 Nostalgia 77 - Simmerdown (Tru Thoughts/UK)

It is true that a new studio work by Nostalgia 77 was a long-awaited one. His last album ‘’Everything Under The Sun’’ was my album of the year 2007. This 7’’ teaser from his upcoming ‘The Sleepwalking Society’ sounds different but great. Never was a big funk of folk or blues music what I heard here is intrested and thirsty for my ears. All this analogue roots instruments, the classic jazz spirit of Bel Lambkin melted perfectly with the reggae blues style of ‘’Simmerdown’’. On the b side along with smoked late sixtees scene that created in my mind, my soul supriced with way that new vocalist of Nostalgia 77, Josa Peit sings.- Dj Nova Nova Planet Radio Show
