peal 087 Tokyo Sessions Vol.1 by Massa Takemoto (Peacelounge/DE)

Massa Takemoto’s ‘’Tokyo Sessions Vol.1’’ compilation is a nice suprice, well done release and really enjoyable result for me. One half of chill out lounge Echolocation project, an excellent electronic music artist in solo career too and unique music selector, his mixcloud POCDAST will persuade you about this, he is one of my favourite Japenese artists since I heard him with Tetsuroh Konishi on early morning breaks compilation back in 2010. His selection is so familiar to my ears and his choices between Peacelounge’s back catalogue, new releases and unreleased stuff so similar to my taste, as Peacelounge is best label in the scene for me. His selection includes a rare track from an early Peacelounge long player by Thomas Kessler, ‘’Boil’’ a deep ethno jazz hop tune, Under Pressure’s Brazilectro worldwide hit ‘’Near The Ocean’’ from 2007 and ‘’Do You Know’’ from Green Empathy’s debut from the same year. All these among recent label releases as m.age.project’s Taxi On Wax from his Andalucian ‘’Mirador’’, Sudaka’a ‘’Dubstate’’ * which compiled by two years before in my ‘’Red Carpet Lounge Vol.2’’, Flamingo Star’s space jazz ‘’There's A Place’’, Loopaland’s smooth and dreamy ‘’Miracle In My Computer’’, Black Zone Ensemble’s jazz lounge ‘’The Peace We Need’’ from 10 Years Anniversary Peacelounge’s compilation and Hyusfall’s dark deep in the night jazz ambient electronica ‘’City One’’ – I really love this track - which is closing perfectly the compilation. Tokyo is a futuristic city and Massa definitely a citizen from the future, he is the right person to introduce us on Peacelounge’s one as he sequenced exclusive tracks by BoogieLab’s debut album next year on the label, a new collaboration between Rubberlips & Jean Honeymoon, hyper new sign up Chris Vano & Kathrin Wagner on vocals with their ‘’Cosmopolitan Dreams’’ and an alternative and more folk lounge track from his project Echolocation. In the end I must mention that the big avant garde producer from France,Jay Alansky, is opening this beautiful release from his remastred re:issues on Peacelounge this year… - Dj Nova, Nova Planet Radio Show
