Men From Nobu Original and Remixes are another suprice by the eclectic and favorite label of mine from the States.This epic long release, ‘’The Best Of Us’’ offers synth-blaster of deep Afro funk house sound, retro, dynamic and respectful LIVE sound from the first play. ‘’We Have A Dream’’ seems my fave, but hard to say this here – the french funk on the same title track and the boogie in the disco of house of ‘’Step Up’’ are exceptional too - the funky bass, the piano strings and the everlasting pads with the Afro Latin effects is so compatible to me, you can say that is a Balearic tune. On the side of the Remixes the appearance of Whiskey Pickle’s Adam Warped is different thing here and the most excting, even different the Austin’s fave producer connects perfectly the retro Balearic vibes of his old school weirdo mixcture of house and disco with the soul and jazz of ‘’We Have A Dream’’. I can talk for hours about this release the acidic Futurewife Remix is magic too, fresh retroness and classy sound, Marques Lafelt’s Remix offers another so deep deep deep and deeper, deeper and deeper Nylonesque philosophy on the same tune. I like the most Jaymz Nylon’s Remix, his deep Afro percussive and talented smooth constructions are reshaped perfectly ‘’Step Up’’. Ze!’s Chicago’s deep and hypno disco sound extension on the same track is driving slow to the late night session direction and having like Us Aswell Remix the Afro vocals as satellite to follow… I said too much… Dig it… - Dj Nova, Nova Planet Radio Show
