‘’Me Ibiza Music For Dreams The Sunset Sessions Vol.7’’ compilation is providing the quintessential backdrop to same named sophisticated beachside resort. And this is not an utopia as Kenneth Bager not just compiled the latest chapter of series under that name but he and his label have summer residency while the sun goes down ‘til midnight at ME Ibiza. 2019’s compilation is combining a dozen of new, unreleased and exclusive tracks along some recent releases, all “beachlike” Balearic, sun soaked with lush atmospheres which paired with sexy early or late-night grooves, Mediterranean flavour and Copenhagen’s globally-sourced sign up of the label. The global-world sounds comes by the last tune of Nordsø & Theill ‘’Alabas’’ an East Mediterranean meets West in Denmark and Constantinoupolis based Islandman. More guitar flavoured tunes come by Ambala, as Phil Mison’s project dreamy guitar Pat Metheny-laden ‘’Sergios Theme’’ sounds like a tribute to him and Danish classical guitar artist Jacob Gurevitsch work is representing here with two remixes by Danilo Braca, one uptempo, one downtempo. Label’s highlight like RSD 12’’ track Mike Salta’s ‘’Hey Moloko’’ and ‘’Lotta Love’’ cover by Japanese Okinawa Delays on one its amazing remixes by Willie Graff & Darren Eboli Beach Mix. This year’s disko and soul-like catchy tunes Be Svendsen ‘’Day 3’’ and AUSSTEIGER’s ‘whola ‘’Goldmund’’ love’ are emblazing the compilation. There a lot of tunes, 27… That will eventually resolve your desire for something Balearic-minded fresh and gooood. My favourite ones are Darren Eboli’s ‘’A Billion Stars’’, Copenema’s ‘’Nada Mais’’ and The Swan And The Lake's ''Son Shine'', his most futuristic tune. Ambala’s one too.
