ORLP 004 Koichi Sakai & Afla Sackey - Wono on Olindo Records

ORLP 004 Koichi Sakai & Afla Sackey - Wono 13.03.20 ◉ OUT on Olindo Records ◉ It's an evocative and delicate balance of African spirit and sofisticated subgenreless house (and not only). On the lush and spacy and unmistakable of the opener deep house ''Atenteben Blues'' the flutes blow you away to exotic places, on the right time, now that you can't fly. The Afro beat vibrations of ''Wono'' sounds fantastic on its album version, the track already makes sense here since its 12'' release as already charted in my monthly juno records Balearic chart. ''Wono'' leaves me a taste of Leftfield... Kora 'based' ''Yamb'' moves deeper into African explorations and electronica ambience, an isolated anthem. The ''Rebirth'' which close the first side suprise you to the maximum. One way for another you didn't expect an intergalactic space synth beatless monster on the album. Did you? Semi-acid cosmic 'tempretures' on the flip has continues the story perfectly as its early house references has a Balearic disco slice of Chicago lemon. Killer tune. ''Jingo'' from their first release, is surely a party anthem and one of the best covers that i heard ever as it has the insane ability to sound pure (and groove). ''Suolo'' which is running out the release is what i was missing while i was listening the album, another pure African moment, it's like watchin' a video clip or document and the cameraman is take video while someone is moving with a motorbike in Ghana. This must find the way to your record collection in our troubled times. It's a perfect soundtrack to travel with moving. - DJ Nova, NovavoN#NovaPlanetRadioShow#RodonFM95 ♫ #african #house
